    IFC Fraternities Bid/Recruitment Process

Even though there is an informational/preview week held every fall, recruitment for most Interfraternity Council (IFC) affiliated fraternities begin their recruitment programs/activities before that actual week.

The purpose of Preview Week is to allow college men the opportunity to take a closer look and learn about ULM’s four fraternities- Delta Sigma Phi, Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, and Pi Kappa Alpha. Potential members are not required to meet and visit with every fraternity, but potential members are advised to visit as many fraternities as possible, so they can find the fraternity that they like the most.

If a fraternity wants a potential member to become associated with their organization, the potential member will be given a bid. No potential member is required to accept a bid immediately when it is given. The bid can be held until the end of the informational week or until the time specified by the fraternity offering the bid. Once a bid is accepted, the potential new member will begin the process of becoming a member into that fraternal organization.
